On the screen where you name Robin, push Select 3 times, and you will be able to enter new names for Gerald, Ivan and Mary after you confirm Robin's name.

Afterward, press Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, and Select. You will be able to enter new names for three other characters, including Jasmine.
